Trenton Daniel SENIOR NEW YORK REPORTER tdaniel@healthbeat.org
Trenton Daniel is a Senior Reporter for Healthbeat covering New York. Previously, he spent almost 14 years at The Associated Press, most recently as a reporter on the global investigations team using public records to break news and bolster the AP report. Trenton started at AP as its Haiti correspondent, in 2011, writing about reconstruction efforts following the 2010 earthquake and a subsequent cholera outbreak. Before AP, he spent almost eight years as a staff writer at The Miami Herald and reported extensively from Haiti, Iraq and throughout the Caribbean. Trenton also covered his share of hurricanes, homicides and zoning meetings. He lives in Brooklyn and, when not working, is probably training for a marathon by running an unhealthy number of laps inside Prospect Park.
